Welcome > People > @Past Memebers > Sam Hardy

I am a postdoctoral research fellow here at the Center for Developmental and Health Research Methodology, working primarily with Dr. John Nesselroade. My position here is funded by a National Institute on Aging institutional training grant for Quantitative Modeling in Aging Research. The little critter on my shoulder in the picture is my son Dallin, born July 5th, 2005 - just before we moved to Virginia. Curriculum Vita

Research Interests

I am primarily interested in moral motivation in adolescence and young adulthood, particularly the role of moral values and moral identity. Further, I seek to understand individual and contextual influences on moral motivation development. Other relevant interests include (1) links between cognition and emotion, (2) self and identity, (3) personality, (4) motivation, (5) the role of religiosity in promoting positive outcomes in adolescence and adulthood, and (6) youth development programming.
